RIP Pat Summitt...

Awful news to hear  about the passing of legendary basketball coach Pat Summitt.
Prayers go out to her son and the entire Tennessee Vols family.
Very honored that I got to personally meet Pat Summitt at the CoSIDA workshop in San Diego, CA back in 2007.

After 11 years of marriage and having experienced the highest of highs and lowest of lows, Jake and I decided to renew our wedding vows. We wanted the kids involved in the ceremony, wanted to return home to where our original wedding day was, and to have a very small and intimate ceremony. Was a very emotional day, but God is good and we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us! Last weekend was perfect in every way and looking forward to better days ahead! I love my family!

Was pretty incredible...I was able to wear my original wedding dress, Jake wore his Gpa Andy's tie, Andray wore his 1st Communion Suit which includes one of Gpa Andy's ties, and the girls were able to wear our flowergirl dresses from our wedding that my mom made 12 years ago. Pretty incredible how the stars have aligned!

Hope you can enjoy the video...a heartfelt THANK YOU to my best friend Ann Marie who was instrumental in capturing the many moments of our special day. I love you Ann!

Gussie Days Never Disappoints!

What a weekend! Gussie Days never disappoints!
We had a jam-packed weekend full of fun and laughs!
All for a great cause, our church!

Jake and I were so proud of the big kids. Andray finished 3rd in the boys' Gussie Gallop 1k race, while Roz ran her best time in the 1k to date, finishing in 19th place overall. Carrine was bummed she couldn't run in the actual race (have to be 5 years old), but she's been training with the big kids and after cheering them on through the finish line, she took her turn running down the last stretch to the finish line. So sweet!

I was very thankful that I got to run the 5K with one of my best friends from town, Kate! She definitely pushed me in the race...and we had fun celebrating later that night!

Once the race was over, it was time to cool off at home with a water fight!
Carrine's pull-up balooned up, hilarious!
"Baby Got Back!"

Pool time with our friends...what a blast!

Was pretty awesome that DiamondBack was willing to play at church for our 11th Anniversary!
Had a great gathering at our house during the day then headed down to church grounds for adult festivities.
Was a perfect night for dancing and visiting!

Capped the night off being announced by DiamondBack and welcomed on to the stage during the song "I would die a happy man!"
Absolutely amazing to be on stage with that band! Thanks to the Forsell's for hooking us up!
Better days ahead!

Dancing on State with Diamondback!

Sunday the Gussie Days festivities continued!
Kiddie games, inflatables, treats and snow cones, cake walk, Bingo, tractor pull, baseball game, polka music, trolley rides, prizes and food = FUN!

So proud of the girls...Carrine's first time doing a tractor pull, made it about 2 turns :)
Roz pedaled her farthest length yet...took 4th in her group. She was one place short of a trophy but still congratulated and whole heartedly cheered for the 3 kids who finished above her and got the trophies! Andray won BINGO for the second year in a row and brought home a $10 bill for his efforts! Carrine finally crashed in the stroller around 4 pm...sign of a great weekend!

This weekend Jake and I celebrated our 11th wedding anniversary. In 11 years we've experienced the highest of highs and lowest of lows. And now after experiencing "life," we decided to renew our vows with the kids and start all over with fresh, new beginnings.
God is good and praying for great days ahead. I love my family more than anything in this world!

It's going to be a great summer...

Our family is excited for big changes this summer...I'm back in graduate school and working admin hours in my hometown. Very thankful for my mom and Jake who have taken over childcare duties.
I miss the kids like crazy but know this opportunity will only help our family.

Home sweet home...for now.
Change is scary, but exciting.
Nothing worth having in life is easy...hard work pays off!
KEEP THE FAITH!

Amen Kayleen!

Home Sweet Home...here we come, at least for now.

Vacation Bible School Rocks!

All 3 of our kiddos got to participate in Vacation Bible School this week!
We were so proud of CC...she wasn't scared at all to go to school!
It was a Safari theme this summer.
Carrine was a Monkey, Roslyn was a Zebra and Andray was a Lion.
Super fun spending extra time with their friends and my Godson Drew!
VBS truly is an amazing week for all involved!

Preschool in the books for Carrine!

Hard to believe but our Miss Carrine Faith completed her first year of ECFE preschool this morning!
I can't say enough how thankful I am for her teachers Angie and Greta. They have taught me so much about parenting...and were and incredible support in Carrine's first year of school!
So thankful that I got to experience this year with CC.

Today was extra special because the big kids got to come to school with Carrine.
They loved her classroom!
Shortly after we got there we were all sitting at the PlayDough table and Roz laid her head on my shoulders and said, "Mom, I love this classroom! I wish I was still little so I could come here with Carrine!"
Trust me Roz...I wish you were still "little" too!

Heading out for recess...summer is officially here!

Had an incredible day yesterday at a local park, complete with picnic and hike.
Also got the kids' dental appointments out of the way!
Going to be a summer full of changes and new opportunities...God is good and does provide!
