Congrats Matia & Bryan...What a Trip!

Congrats to Jake's cousin Matia and her new husband Bryan!
So glad Jake and I could attend their wedding out in Arizona...was an amazing 3-day trip to celebrate with family!

We flew into Vegas...neither of us had ever been there and wow, what a sight to see!

Statue of Liberty...need I say more?!

The hotels on the STRIP were incredible.

Planet Hollywood, our home for the evening.

The Bellagio "Water Show"

John's new best bud in Vegas...Pee-Wee Herman!

We got to take a relaxing Gondola Ride.

Even saw Mickey and Minnie Mouse...Mickey wasn't too happy with me!
Long story!

Jake and Connor's new Vegas pal...Chewbacca!

The strip!

Leaning Towers

I'm not a gambler at all, but I just had to sit at a Penny Slot Machine to say I gambled at Vegas!

During there day there were no waitresses out on the floor...

so needless to say I didn't get served a free drink at Vegas while gambling.
Still was a blast!

Paris at night!

Jake and Connor enjoyed the "night life" of Vegas and saw a great Bellagio "water show" that evening!

Jake was a little confused on the walk home to the hotel room ;)

Then the four of us were off to Arizona!
A huge thanks to Jake for doing all the driving this weekend!
Haven't laughed that hard in a long time, great company!

Turned off on the Historic Route 66...

Made me think of the CARS movie that our kids love so much!

Connor might make our Christmas family card this year ;)

Then our first glance of the Grand Canyon...breath-taking!

Unbelievable sights!

Very thankful Connor and Kristine asked us to travel with them, we had a blast!

The watch tower...got to walk inside up to the top.

The lone tree...

Jake checking out the Colorado River...

Was hard to leave this place, can't wait to bring the kids here some day!
Then we were off to our final destination...Page, AZ!
We were fortunate to get a tour of the Antelope Canyon...another breath-taking sight to see!

Our first glance of the Canyon before making the trip "down under!"
Antelope Canyon is a slot canyon in the American Southwest. It is located on Navajo land east of PageArizona. Antelope Canyon includes two separate, photogenic slot canyon sections, referred to individually as Upper Antelope Canyon or The Crack; and Antelope Canyon or The Corkscrew.[2]
The Navajo name for Upper Antelope Canyon is Tsé bighánílíní, which means "the place where water runs through rocks." Lower Antelope Canyon isHazdistazí (advertised as "Hasdestwazi" by the Navajo Parks and Recreation Department), or "spiral rock arches." Both are located within the LeChee Chapter of the Navajo Nation

Good thing I've overcome my fear of heights...this staircase got much steeper as we made our way down to the bottom!

He's all mine!

Amazing to see!

Needless to say, the guys made our tour "extra fun!"

Yep, we broke the rules...wasn't supposed to climb in the caves but our tour guide was awesome and said "go for it!"

Again..he's all mine ;)

What a stud!

The only tumble weed we saw all weekend in the dessert, no lie!
And it was near the bottom of a cave!

Almost back to the top of the cave!

Unreal watching people climb out of this crack in the ground!

The end of the tour.

Then we were off to Horseshoe Bend!
Our first glance!
I definitely took my time making my way to the edge of the cliff!
Make's your stomach do somersaults looking over 1,000 feet down to the river!

Yet again, another beautiful sight to see!
This is where Matia's husband Bryan proposed...so cool!

This picture cracks me up! The guys hanging out next to a stranger using a "Selfie Stick" near the edge of the cliff...can't make it up!

Stunning...

You couldn't even hear the boat engines down on the river...I'm sure the people on the boats had an incredible view as well.

You definitely feel "on top of the world" at places like these!

Wow, another amazing morning of sight seeing in the books!

Then we were off to get some lunch since we literally hadn't eaten in over 24 hours!
Too much to see, no time to stop and eat ;)

And then it was time for the "real reason" for the trip...Bryan and Matia's wedding!

What a beautiful setting on Lake Powell...absolutely gorgeous!

A stunning couple.

Pictures after the ceremony...fun to watch!

The reception sight was right on the dock at the Marina.

Jake hugging his cousin Sayje for the first time that night!

The sunset was amazing...

The Bride with her Gma Stang...precious.

And then it was time to DANCE!
Of course Jake and his Dad had a "dance off" to Footloose!

Good times...what an amazing wedding celebration!

After a short night of sleep, we were back in the car and drove through Zion National Park in Utah on our way back to Vegas.

Yet again, another amazing sight to see!

Plenty of hair-pin turns through the park...definitely worth the park fee to drive through :)

What an incredible trip!
Was tough to leave a beautiful place like this!

But man was it awesome to make it home safely to our kiddos!

Definitely the BEST homecoming ever!
The kids were waiting on the porch for us at 9 pm!
Screams and laughs and tons of chatter...pretty sure we woke up the entire neighborhood!

A few gifts for the kiddos...books, fans, magnets, deck of cards and shot glasses for our shelf!
HOME SWEET HOME!
