Whew...July has been a whirlwind!

Wow - July has been a whirlwind for our family!
A sincere thank you to my best friend from home, Ann Marie, for taking our family pictures in my parents yard this month! Was a special night with Roslyn and Carrine wearing the flower girl dresses from our wedding 10 years ago. And I was able to wear the same dress that I wore for our Groom's Dinner 10 years ago.

There's no perfect marriage, but I'm so glad Jake asked me to be his for the rest of our lives!
I'm very thankful for Jake - best father I could ever ask for our children!

We've experienced 3 "town days" this month...starting off with Danube Fun Days!
Started out the weekend with a beautiful 5K run with one of my best friends Jolene. Best time of the summer for both of us!

Gotta love small rural towns...

especially when Main Street ends up in a corn field :)

Then it was on to Richmond Days at Jake's Grandma's house!
Nine Stang grandkids in nine years and one more on the way!
Classic pic!

Our kids are becoming parade pros...very thankful they are respectful to the Color Guard, veterans and police/firemen.

Oldest and youngest Stang cousins...precious.

We also scored a ton of SCSU apparel from a good friend of mine at work!
Thank you!

A big CONGRATULATIONS to our brother-in-law John who completed a 23-year baseball career with the Cold Spring Rockies! It's definitely tough to give up something that you have passion for.

So glad we got to watch John play one more time this summer.
Cousin fun!

And Papa Steve's corn is looking AMAZING!

The farm definitely looks different without Gpa Andy's dairy barn standing...bitter sweet.

We put MANY miles on the van...but at least we traveled in style :)

Yes, even musical instruments were played in the van :)

And of course there were plenty of "pit stops" on the county and gravel roads :)

Most thankful I got to celebrate my dad's 69th birthday with him in person!
I love you so much Dad...you're the greatest father a child could ask for!

Absolutely love coming home to mom and dad's...their yard is stunning this time of year!

Then it was off to Catfish Derby Days in Franklin...I love this weekend!

We rounded up a volleyball team last-minute and had a blast!
Definitely competed with the City's and Mankato teams who play every weekend together.
3rd place not too bad for a group of 6 who've never played together!
Sunday was the Kiddie Parade...were were the "Cougar Crew!"
Jody was a SAINT for wearing the Mascot outfit :)
It was HOT out!

Roslyn helped with the signs for the candy wagon...CM Cougars Rok!  :)

What a crew is right...

Roz and Dray agreed to compete in the tractor pull again...Roz of course did it for the Dr. Pepper :)

Andray was glad his tractor was RED!

Then it was an absolute treat to stop at Gram's farm on the way back to St. Cloud!

The girls love playing in Great Gma Chip's rock garden and with her cat "Psycho!"

Andray spent a couple extra days at my parents, so it was pretty awesome seeing Roz take over the "oldest sibling" roles...reading CC bedtime stories, priceless.

We capped off this week with our last night of T-ball!
Very proud of these two, I had fun coaching them and their teammates this summer.

Plan to soak up this last month of summertime before 2nd and 1st grade start...unreal!

A Powerful Event ...

So glad I was able to bring the kids to Relay for Life last week.
What a powerful event!
There were over 4,000 luminary bags set up on the grounds.
The MC of the event was diagnosed with cancer for the first time at age 17. He's now 28 and has survived 2 bouts of cancer...so inspiring!
The kids were excited for the balloon release.
The song "Clouds" by Zach Sobiech was played during the releasing of the balloons.
Tear jerking...
Such a beautiful setting for this event.

The big kids loved the silent auction! Andray and Keagan were at a friendly bidding "war" for this helicopter. Andray was so glad that "he won!" ;)

Another unforgettable evening with the kids...hats off to all those individuals who worked countless hours to pull off the event. Was amazing.

The Big Kids Passed Swim 2 Lessons!!

What an action-packed couple weeks it's been for our family.
Congrats to Andray and Roslyn who passed Swim 2 Lessons at Tech High School!
What a difference a year makes - they both love to be in the water!
On to Swim 3 Lessons next summer!

And congrats to the big kids' #1 fan, Miss Carrine Faith herself, who cheered them on in the pool the past 2 weeks!
And last weekend on the car ride home for Danube Fun Days Andray pulled his 2nd top tooth out all on his own! The Tooth Fairy showed up in Redwood Falls...green fairy dust and all!
Now all Andray wants for Richmond's River Lake Days is his
2 FRONT TEETH! ;)

What a Great 4th...Thankful for our Freedom!

Hope you all had a great 4th of July weekend...God bless the USA!!!

What an incredible 4th of July weekend with the kiddos!
Perfect weather allowed us to celebrate our country's Independence outdoors!
Started the weekend off with a campfire on Friday night.

July 4th preparations...

Then Saturday morning it was off to the St. Joseph 4th of July Parade!

Sisters...

Can't help but tear up every time I see the Color Guard walk by...

Everyone was on their feet clapping - well deserved.

There was a float for all Vietnam Veterans...again tears. So thankful my dad survived the war, along with the other veterans who survived.
And realizing that our freedom is not free, thankful for the men and women who gave the ultimate sacrifice so that we, along with our children, could enjoy our independence.

Roz loved the flag dancers!

Even Santa made it from the North Pole to celebrate USA's Independence!

Carrine is turning into a Parade "Pro!"

Love these three...

Post card material...

The girls loved the Princesses...

and of course Andray loved all the tractors and cars in the parade!

Then it was off to Kays' cabin for the day and a 4th of July Boat Parade

Super Heros at their finest!

Adam...our captain!

Olaf, Princess Elsa, Batman and Teenage Mutan Ninja Turtle!

Was a sight to see all the different boat floats!

Our Princess Elsa decked out for the 4th!

Baby Olaf!

Best friends for life...

After the boat parade it was time to swim and fish off the dock!

Of course there was time to relax in the hammock before lunch!

Classic 4th of July photo opp!
Doesn't get any better than this!
Heath and I joke that Jett and Carrine are a match made in Heaven!

Then we all enjoyed a late afternoon Pantoon ride on the lake...

Our new co-captain Jett...

The babies...who aren't little babies anymore!

Carrine loved standing at the front of the boat with her curls blowing in the wind!

Celebrating the RED, WHITE and BLUE!

Love you Heath!

Back on July 4th 2001 Jake officially joined this crazy crew!
14 years later we're still the best of friends and have added 5 amazing kiddos to "The Club!"

God bless the USA...
