Holy Saturday...In Silence We Await...

The silence of Saturday...
We don't hear much about Saturday of holy week. The disciples have fled in fear of being next and the leaders had broken the Sabbath themselves doing whatever they can to try and stop the Resurrection. But as Jesus promised, "it is finished" there will be joy. Remember this in times of silence when we think God is silent. We are never alone but we must go through the anguish

John 16:20-22 records Jesus saying, “I tell you the truth, you will weep and mourn while the world rejoices. You will grieve, but your grief will turn to joy. A women giving birth to a child has pain because her time has come; but when her baby is born she forgets the anguish because of her joy that a child is born into the world. So with you: now is your time of grief, but I will see you again and you will rejoice, and no one will take away your joy.”

Remain in me...

John 15:4
Remain in me, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me.

Happy Holy Week...

Palm branches are a symbol of peace and victory, and they were laid down in Jesus’ path as he rode into Jerusalem – leading to the name Palm Sunday.

Palm Sunday’s thought: Life is full of ups and downs. Glorify God during the ups and fully trust in Him during the downs. - Unknown

Happy Holy Week...the most somber week of our Christian beliefs...
