What a weekend! Gussie Days never disappoints!
We had a jam-packed weekend full of fun and laughs!
All for a great cause, our church!
Jake and I were so proud of the big kids. Andray finished 3rd in the boys' Gussie Gallop 1k race, while Roz ran her best time in the 1k to date, finishing in 19th place overall. Carrine was bummed she couldn't run in the actual race (have to be 5 years old), but she's been training with the big kids and after cheering them on through the finish line, she took her turn running down the last stretch to the finish line. So sweet!
I was very thankful that I got to run the 5K with one of my best friends from town, Kate! She definitely pushed me in the race...and we had fun celebrating later that night!
Once the race was over, it was time to cool off at home with a water fight!
Carrine's pull-up balooned up, hilarious!
"Baby Got Back!"
Pool time with our friends...what a blast!
Was pretty awesome that DiamondBack was willing to play at church for our 11th Anniversary!
Had a great gathering at our house during the day then headed down to church grounds for adult festivities.
Was a perfect night for dancing and visiting!
Capped the night off being announced by DiamondBack and welcomed on to the stage during the song "I would die a happy man!"
Absolutely amazing to be on stage with that band! Thanks to the Forsell's for hooking us up!
Better days ahead!
Dancing on State with Diamondback!
Sunday the Gussie Days festivities continued!
Kiddie games, inflatables, treats and snow cones, cake walk, Bingo, tractor pull, baseball game, polka music, trolley rides, prizes and food = FUN!
So proud of the girls...Carrine's first time doing a tractor pull, made it about 2 turns :)
Roz pedaled her farthest length yet...took 4th in her group. She was one place short of a trophy but still congratulated and whole heartedly cheered for the 3 kids who finished above her and got the trophies! Andray won BINGO for the second year in a row and brought home a $10 bill for his efforts! Carrine finally crashed in the stroller around 4 pm...sign of a great weekend!
This weekend Jake and I celebrated our 11th wedding anniversary. In 11 years we've experienced the highest of highs and lowest of lows. And now after experiencing "life," we decided to renew our vows with the kids and start all over with fresh, new beginnings.
God is good and praying for great days ahead. I love my family more than anything in this world!
