We enjoyed a second year of fun-filled activities at Norway Lake with my family this summer. Vacation are always fun with the kids and it's nice to get out of town, but man is it awesome to get back home after an exhausting week away. Very thankful for our time with my family.
Now this is what I call a vacation...my one and only nap on the deck, what a glorious view.
Carrine enjoyed her "late night" feeding, then decided to stay up for a game of cards with Gma Carol - love it!
A morning story in bed - priceless.
A game of "Garbage" at the breakfast table.
Carrine's mid-morning nap on the deck with Dad..lucky lil' girl.
Our cabin for the week...
The kids were anxious to fish with Papa Larry.
Two Peas in a Pod...
The Frank's from Rochester have arrived!
Absolutely love our lil' Goddaughter!
Isa couldn't wait to go fishing with Papa Larry.
Found out after a day of swimming in the lake that there was "swimmers itch" in the lake. All of us were affected, and it's lasted for over a week, but we just couldn't keep the kids out of the water!
Think our Miss Amelia was just a tad excited?!
All the kids took good baths after their swim in the lake and read stories with Gma Carol, even Carrine joined in on story time.
Carrine loves her Auntie Megan!
Gma Carol taught the 4 older grandchildren how to play croquet.
The girls enjoyed shucking the sweet corn with Jake.
The monumental moment for Roslyn was when she caught her first fish ever!
The story is hilarious of her catching the fish - thanks to her big cousin Isa for "tipping her off" that she had a fish on her line!
Roslyn loved touching the bate on her line and she was even more intrigued by touching the fish she had caught - so glad I was on the dock to witness it!
On June 27th we celebrated Mom and Dad's 43rd Wedding Anniversary - so grateful!
Megan made an INCREDIBLE fresh berry pie for dessert - thank you!
Yet again...playing cards at the breakfast table.
Thank the Lord for Jake...kept the kids busy all week! :)
Since we couldn't spend much time in the water, we had a blast playing in the sand!
I enjoyed helping the kids build rivers, islands, lakes and water falls in the sand.
Even got quite a few mean games of "bean bags" in at the lake!
So thankful Gram was able to visit for an evening with my Uncle Jeff!
One of my most favorite photos of the week - Papa Larry with his 1st grandchild, Isabel Lucia.
Of course we squeezed in some time to roast marshmallows!
But before we could eat the smores, Isa caught her first fish of the week!
Memories for a lifetime!
Dessert followed...
Good night hugs for Great Gma "Chip!'
Oh wait, we first had to break out the glow sticks. Of course, Andray picked the green glow sticks!
One last morning of fishing before packing up that afternoon. So thankful we had a great week of weather at the lake.
Thanks Mom and Dad for hosting a great week at the cabin. It's crazy, chaotic, exhausting and never enough time with family - but we are grateful! What a week!
