Backyard Campin'...

Well, Carrine survived her first two nights in the camper over the 4th of July.
We decided to stay home and camp in our back yard - best decision ever!
It still took us 2 days to get the camper ready, but at least we could change our clothes in the house, go to the bathroom in the house, nap Carrine in the house and eat our meals in the garage.
Truly amazing how much work camping is, but rewarding as well to see how excited the kids get!

Andray and Roslyn spent hours playing in the camper.

Carrine's first time in the camper, she wasn't so sure of things!

The big kids loved sleeping in their sleeping bags - well wait, they liked laying in them!
Not sure they did much sleeping at all ;)

Was peaceful in our back yard.

While cleaning the kitchen this week we found Jake's grad school schedule...

Needless to say, we used it for kindling wood to start our camp fire!

What a GREAT feeling to put Jake's grad school behind us - very proud of him.

Andray loved the smores!  (Yes, we are visiting the dentist next month, ha!)
Even broke out some glow sticks that I swear we bought a year ago for the 4th. They still worked!
Now, after 2 days of more preparation we're headed to El Rancho for a couple days...just the 5 of us.
Wish us luck! Hoping for good weather so the big kids can finally be in the water (without Swimmer's Itch!)
