Well, as quiet as Jake wanted to keep this information...he and his football reffing crew were chosen to ref the 6A State Football Championship game at the new US Bank Stadium the day after Thanksgiving! Quite the accomplishment...the MN State High School League's first Championships held in the US Bank Stadium. Jake's been a member of this crew for 3 years now and could not be MORE PROUD OF HIM...talk about a "once in a lifetime" experience!
This is definitely going in our sports Wall of Fame basement living room!
Surreal to see your husband out on the Vikings football field! We were smiles the entire game!
It's "official"...the Officials for the game listed on TV!
The kids and I made our inaugural trip to the US Bank Stadium to watch Jake and cheer on his crew. Hard to believe the legendary "Dome" used to stand where the new stadium does now.
Despite the chilly air/wind...we were pumped to walk around the outside of the building and check things out.
Love this trio more than anything!
So very THANKFUL that my cousin Kristen and her kiddos joined us for the festivities!
The 8 of us had a blast together.
This place is "Jaw Dropping!"
The Viking Ship is incredible!
Digital video wall on the sail.
Strike a pose CC!
Our first glance of the field...the kids' faces are PRICELESS!
Whether you're a football fan or not, the initial site of this field is UNBELIEVABLE!
After walking around the stadium we decided to get something to eat before Jake's game started. Yep, only our kiddos would use the tables to dance on (with no music playing in the background!)
Love my cousin Kristen...she's been there through thick and thin!
So thankful I got to share this awesome day with her!
Our first glance of Jake on the field! We were all so excited!
Pretty sure Jake was nervous, but we didn't care. We just wanted to see him before the game started!
CC loves her Daddy.
Jake's crew...we could not have picked better seats to see this pic taken by the Star Tribune!
Legendary AD at Cathedral HS, Emmet Keanan, shaking Jake's hand before the game started.
So glad we got to see Emmet again! He does amazing things for the MSHSL!
Warm-up time...can you find Jake? :)
One of the murals in the stadium...I honestly thought there'd be more color and more photos on the concourse levels. Maybe they'll be added as years go on...but the kids loved these pics!
For only being 3 years old and the game not even starting until 7:30 pm, Carrine was an amazing fan at the game...all 6 kids did great for how late things got! Very thankful.
Starting line-ups and National Anthem.
The video walls at the stadium are breath-taking!
Jake's white hat on the crew, Dale, is such an awesome guy.
So glad Jake has been able to learn from this football genius!
Group huddle before kick off!
Texting me during the game to tell me how amazing it is on the field...ha...JK!
This crew was so detailed...amazing to watch how this crew worked together!
My hubby is famous...he's on TV...bottom right under the up rights!
It's good!
So very proud of you Jake...all those Friday nights gone and away have been totally worth it!
You earned this privilege to be at the Viking's Stadium...just so glad the kids and I could witness this "once in a lifetime" opportunity for you! Way to go...will never forget it!
