Learning from the BEST!

For many years now I've wanted to learn how to can salsa with Gram.

This weekend that wish finally came true as Roz and I made the trip to Gram's farm to can fresh salsa and learn from the BEST!

So glad Mom could come and spend the day with us at the farm as well!

Lots of work chopping up the onions, peppers and jalapenos! 

Roslyn was an amazing help washing all the produce. 

This lil' lady LOVES to be in the kitchen!

Roz wanted to learn just as much as I did and helped every step of the way...

At nearly 88 years of age, my Gram continues to amaze me in the kitchen...GO, GO, GO!

The four of us had some incredible conversations together. 

Filling the jars.

And constantly cleaning at the kitchen sink.

Thankful we canned 3 batches in 5 hours and will bring home 20 cans of salsa for the winter!

Thankful for my time at home with Gram, Mom and Roslyn.

She hasn't canned salsa since Grandpa Shorty died nearly 10 years ago.

This was good therapy for all of us as we shared tears and laughs reminiscing about GPA! 

Priceless memories made yet again...
