Our third annual Frank Vacation to the cabin was successful.
Despite rainy and cold weather at times, it was an awesome week.
Thanks Mom and Dad for providing this time together as an entire family.
Like Papa...Like Grandson...our fishermen.
We spent a lot of time on the dock (which was nearly under water!)
Roz caught one of the first fish! We just couldn't net the Walleye in time!
Was impressed that Roz and Andray wanted to touch the worms/bait.
So nasty - there's no way I'd bait my own hook!
The fishing crew!
Spent a lot of time on the beach and in the little kiddie pool as well.
Cheese Amelia!
I don't know what it is about this photo but Andray just looks so grown up to me here.
Isabel is without a doubt the best fisher-woman in the family. She literally drops her line and the fish instantly start biting. Was fun to watch her reel in the fish!
The first few days were nice and warm and it felt good to play in the sand and cool off in the water!
Carrine was NOT a fan of her life jacket!
But she LOVED to get dirty in the sand!
Felt good to relax in the water this year.
No "swimmer's itch" this year - thank the LORD!
Fun in the Sun!
Cousins played so well together in the water - is fun now that they're older and we can trust them in the water by the beach.
Absolutely no fear for the big kids this year with the water.
Very grateful.
My lil' Diva Rozzy Ann...
This could be a post card photo...love.
I don't know what it is about being by the water but man it's a soothing and relaxing feeling.
Our view of the water for the week...priceless.
Jake went for a canoe ride one morning.
And LOTS of books were read with Grandma and Papa with the grandkids!
The favorite book of the week was Aladdin and we made sure to bring plenty of Papa's favorite chips...PRINGLES!
Big kids did great shucking the corn (yes...Jake included! ;)
Moments like these are priceless to me. Dad or Mom fed Carrine nearly ever meal.
Carrine had the best seat in the house, looking out onto the lake.
One evening we had 3 deer walking around in our backyard!
And then we were all together to celebrate Mom and Dad's 44th wedding anniversary!
Thanks Mom and Dad for all the sacrifices you've made for our entire family!
You are two very special people!
Cheers to Papa and Grandma!
Megan made her delicious berry pie for dessert that evening - thank you!
And lots of cribbage was played that week!
Thanks to my dad who was patient enough to teach me how to play cribbage!
I can officially play 2-handed, 3-handed and 4-handed cribbage now!
Played lots of cards with the grandkids as well.
Carrine loved being at the card table on Papa's lap!
And on rainy days we colored.
And most days were Pajama Days!
Love the girls in their matching Sophia the First princess pj's!
Bottle feedings looking out over the lake - priceless.
Mom brought fresh flowers from her gardens back home - definitely made it feel like HOME.
And of course every night was BATH NIGHT!
Kids had a blast in the whirlpool tub!
Andray loved turning on the jets!
And of course all of the adults took their turn relaxing on this chair on the back porch.
Toward the end of the week this natural bog blocked a lake access.
The owners of this boat launch were not very pleased!
And the annual game of crochet!
Pretty sure Papa Larry and Andray took home the honors this year!
The Frank Grandkids...7, 6, 5, 4 and 1
(and hopefully soon a newborn!)
Very difficult these days to get everyone looking!
So glad the cousins got to spend some QT together with Papa and Grandma.
Our home for the week...thanks for the memories Mom and Dad!
