What a Week for Field Trips!!

Earlier this week Andray and his Kindergarten class took a field trip to
Hemker Zoo in nearby Freeport, MN.
We got drenched in the rain storm, but made the most of it!
The Zookeepers were so kind to bring out a dozen or so animals to the children under the shelter.
Andray liked touching the Penguin!

Ended up eating lunch on the bus and heading back to school.
Oh well, was fun to be with Dray and his classmates for the morning!
Father Bob came with us on the field trip and gave us a tour of his hometown church in Freeport.
Talk about a beautiful church!
He said the stain glass windows were shipped to the USA from Europe over 70 years ago and are estimated to be worth over $3 million!
Incredible statues at this church.

ROSLYN'S PRE-SCHOOL FIELD TRIP

The day after Andray's field trip Carrine and I headed to Munsinger Gardens with Roslyn
for her school field trip.
Hard to believe our Roslyn Ann will complete Pre-School this week.
What a year...and my oh my how fast this school year went!
Can't say enough great things about her teacher Mrs. Swanson!
She is a God-sent!

The morning started out a little dreary and foggy,
so Roz was proud to show off her new Sophia the First umbrella that she got from her Godmother for her birthday...thank you!

Next stop was the dam down by the river.

Despite skipping her morning nap, Carrine was a trooper in her stroller during the tour of the gardens.

This morning when Jake and I woke up he said,
"I can't believe our 2nd baby is completing pre-school this week!"
I hear ya, time is flying!

Roz was impressed with how much water flows out over the dam and how much power the water produces!

Next stop...off to the Greenhouse with her best bud from school!
So cute.

Hats off to all the workers at Munsinger.
I don't know a thing about gardening but I do know this is a ton of work growing the plants, transplanting, etc.!

Lots of work!

This was a "Popcorn Plant" that got passed around.
No lie - if you rubbed your hands on the leaves and smelled your fingers, smelt just like popcorn!

Running through the gardens...priceless.

The water fountains were beautiful.

Believe it or not the cold water from the fountains felt amazing.
For the first time since last summer we were sweating and hot!
It was amazing.
Hopefully summer is almost here!

My girls...so thankful.

Ended the field trip with a great picnic lunch in the park.
Was a great morning!
