Lessons to Live By & Pass On...

Lessons to Live By and to Pass On to the Kids...

God, grant our family the serenity to accept the things we cannot change, the courage the change the things we can, and the wisdom to know the difference.

Love, respect and honor your siblings...
no one else in this world has the same parents.

Stand up for yourself and have a backbone.

Stay a "kid" as long as possible.

Don't be afraid to wear a pair of skinny jeans once in a while...
they might put a smile on someone's face. ;)

A penny saved is a penny earned.

Acquire a taste for coffee.
Thomas Jefferson once said, "Coffee - the favorite drink of the civilized world."

PUSH yourself.
And never be jealous of other people's successes.

 Tough to do..yet necessary.

Walk by FAITH, not by sight.

I don't want my children to follow in my footsteps.
I want them to walk in the path beside me and go further than I ever dreamt possible.

Walk with God...He's always with you!

Learn from generations before you...their Wisdom will give you incredible strength.

Listen to your mothers and look up to them...no one in the world loves you more.

Be KIND to everyone and everything around you.

HONOR and RESPECT all those who have sacrificed for your FREEDOM.

Be BRAVE...and Salute the Ones who've Died for your safety.

Pray for Peace.
LAUGH...it's the best medicine for your soul.

Set your GOALS high.
There is no limit to your dreams and wishes.

Be TRUE to yourself...what makes you happy makes us happy.

Stay grounded...you come from incredible roots.

Work HARD...there's no reason not to.

LISTEN to your Fathers...whether you believe them, agree with them or understand them...
they do know what's best for you.

Pray Every Day...
Pray that you will have strength in your struggles.

Until you've walked in someone else's shoes - don't judge.

Forgive...

Never say you can't.
You are SMART and you will figure things out if you put your
mind to it and give it your all.

Don't feel guilty taking naps...

even if the babies are still awake!

Treat yourself every once in a while - you DESERVE it!

No pain...No gain.

Teach....your children well.

Be willing to change and make adjustments.
Life will throw you curve balls...stay in the batter's box and keep swinging!

Girls Can Do Anything...and I really hope our kids play volleyball ;)

Don't ever let someone tell you sports are just for boys!
But I will agree with Tom Hanks when he says... "There's no crying in Baseball!"

Share your talents...it's your gift to someone else.

Celebrate the big and little things in life...it's worth it!
We owe it to ourselves to have FUN!

Get dressed up...it feels good to look pretty.

Learn to Dance....

Especially if it's in the rain!

BELIEVE...

Have fun in the snow.
Just stay away from the yellow stuff! ;)

SHARE...you get more in return than you ever give away.

Embrace surprise.

You can never have too much fun.

Treat others as you want to be treated.

A simple SMILE is worth more than a thousand words.

Do not critique anyone but yourself.

Your future is BRIGHT...you gotta wear shades!

Stay BEST FRIENDS forever.

Use your MANNERS.
And no matter what be grateful and say THANK YOU.

 It's okay to cry...

and it's definitely okay to say "I'm Sorry."

Change is scary...conquer your fears.

Get Educated...no one can take your Education away from you.

Stay humble...

Don't take life too seriously!

When life gets tough...get TOUGHER!

Communication is KEY in all relationships.
Take the time to LISTEN with your heart and soul.

Know that the DUKE Blue Devils really are the Best...
and learn to love March Madness - it's a national holiday in our household!

Love long and love hard...and never be afraid to Love.

Never lose HOPE.

Never, for one second, question our love for you.
You are our babies and we love you, no matter what.

These three...they are my "WHY."
Why I get up in the morning, why I make it through the day.
Why I won't settle, why I AM. Why I fight, why I love.
Question me, doubt me, judge me, but know this is WHY.

Families Who Pray Together...Stay Together.

Every day is a GIFT...make the most of it.
