Frank Family Fun!!!!

Jake and I brought the kids down to Rochester last weekend to see my parents, Gram, Aaron and Megan and the girls for a belated Easter gathering. We were also able to celebrate all of our May family birthdays (Amelia, Celest, Aaron and Roslyn). Was a great time.

Mom found the my old JO volleyball warm-up as a gag gift...can't believe we thought it was "cool" to wear this back in the day!

Mom also found the sweater that Aaron wore for his Senior Pictures back in 1991. Funny thing is, Aaron looks exactly the same 21 years later :)

 The kids loved throwing the wrapping paper up in the air, yelling..."It's a Celebration!"

Rest In Peace Heidi Frank...Best Niecy Ever!

My #1 Niecy in the entire world went to Doggy Heaven this morning...Heidi Frank, you will be missed by many. You've been a great member of our family since 1999. God bless you! Sad day for the Frank families!

Megan's words below... I just wanted to send a short note to a few of you who knew and loved Heidi to let you know we kissed her sweet face as she went to heaven last night. She was a true companion who always chose us over anything else (except maybe for a short foray to hunt for loose trash in her younger days) and loved us more than we deserved. She taught us the value in being enthusiastic and truly enjoying the simple things in life... a good meal, a nice morning walk, and being near those you love. She made our lives richer and funnier, and filled our home with so much life. Both of our girls said her name before mommy or daddy, and Amelia still calls every dog she sees Heidi. She was such a good girl and we miss already. Isa came into our room early this morning to ask about her and when we told she had died she said, "Sometimes when we get sick we go to heaven and so did Heidi. I think Grandpa Shorty was there to give her a big hug." I think he was too. Thank you for loving our sweet pup along with us. We miss her more than we thought we could.....

So thankful Heidi will be buried near our family dog Frisky in Redwood Falls...love those dogs!

2012 Rock Pickin' Opener A Success!

On Saturday we headed to the farm to pick "rock" with the kids...turned out to be perfect weather for Roslyn's first time in the field. Andray was a champ and lasted the entire field, was a great day with Jake's family.

The kids were beyond excited to go to the farm to pick "rock!" Andray was up and ready for the day at 6:30 am and walked the entire field, no nap! He worked hard and loved every minute of it!

Hope you all had a great Easter weekend. We were fortunate enough to see all the Great Grandparents and Grandparents over the weekend, pretty special!

Thanks to my mom and dad for buying the Frank cousins matching Easter outfits. Can't wait to see Isabel and Amelia in their Easter dresses!

Last week I was able to bring the kids to my new office and pass out Easter candy to my new co-workers...it was fun!

Happy Holy Week to all of you! The kids and I had a blast coloring Easter eggs on Sunday afternoon!

Roslyn of course picked red and purple to dip her eggs in.

Jake had no issues figuring out which Easter eggs Andray colored...GREEN of course :)

And yes...my Mom saved these Smurf Easter Egg covers from "back in the day." If you look real close, these were purchased at Pamida in Redwood Falls, a good 25+ years ago! Crazy thing is, I totally remember decorating Easter eggs with these! Thanks Mom! It was fun to share with the kids...Roz loves Smurfette :)
