Running in the Rain!

This morning I was able to run a 5k fundraiser for a co-worker of mine who lost his 9-year-old daughter last May to cancer. Was inspiring to see all the people there, despite the rain, to support the family of Kayleen Larson.

Last year when Kayleen died I made the goal to run a race this summer.  I achieved my goal and finished in 30 min and didn't stop running to walk. Hope to run a few more races this summer.  Thankful Jake and the kids were there to support me this morning.

Was the first 5k that I had run since I became a mom over 6 years ago.

As Kayleen would say...
Fight Like a Girl!

Summer Time is Here!

Good Old Mr. Rogers was always right ;)
Thankfully the weather has allowed us to play outside!
Our bridal wreath is absolutely beautiful this time of year.
Wish it bloomed white all summer long!

BTW, the big kids absolutely LOVE their scooters!
Thank you Papa and Gma Stang!
Pretty awesome cuddling with this trio in the mornings.
Found out this lil' lady loves Pringles Chips!
Just like her Papa Larry!

Have a great rest of your week everyone.

Roslyn Rocked the Dance Floor Yesterday!

Roslyn loves to dance and loves to be on stage under the big lights.
Needless to say, she had a blast yesterday at her dance recital!

Andray greeted Roslyn with a red and pink rose after her morning performance.

Born to DANCE!
Thankful for my one-on-one time with Roz yesterday...
Gotta have Goofy pics too!
After rehearsal on Friday night Roslyn was on CLOUD NINE!
So proud of this lil' lady!
Roz had a super fun group of dancers this Spring.
I met some incredible moms this spring at dance practices.

Andray and Carrine were Roslyn's #1 fans again this spring. They made it to every practice with her this spring to support her.

In no particular order, Roz danced two songs (ballet and tap) and got to bow during the finale with the entire group of dancers..

"How much is that doggy in the window?"

So darn cute. I'm biased, but I think Roslyn's class had the best costumes!

So thankful Gma Sandy and Godmom Rhonda could make it to the morning recital.

In between shows Roslyn wanted to practice on the big stage by herself.

Don't think she'll ever get bored of dancing!

Roslyn led her class out for the Finale.

Big bow!

What a great recital.

Proud of Miss Rozzy Ann...she had a great year of dance!

Spring is Finally Here!

Finally...Spring is here and our special tree is blooming!
Every spring since Andray has been born I take a photo of the kids in front of our special tree.
Usually the picture is taken around Cinco de Mayo (May 5th), so our Spring is definitely 3 weeks behind!
What a crew!
By far the most beautiful blossoms in 8 years!

What an Incredible 24 hours in our Home!

Well, Andray is officially done with Kindergarten.
I can't believe it...but what an incredibly amazing school year he had and we are so proud of him!
Today was much easier dropping him off than last August on his first day of school.
So glad and so thankful we were able to send him to St. Mary's.
Last night I took my mom and Gram to see "Sister Act" at the Orpheum Theater in Minneapolis with our CCW group from church.
The show was incredible and I would highly recommend it.
But the company was even better!
Haven't spent that much alone time with my mom and Gram in years!
Mom and Gram stayed over night and Gram was so excited to pick Carrine up out of her crib this morning.
Don't think there's anything better than a hug from a Grandma in the morning!
After the school mass this morning we girls headed out to Thomsen Nursery to find flowers.
That place is so beautiful.
None of us had ever been there before and we were in awe.
You could honestly take wedding photos out there!
My mom and Gram were in Heaven looking at all the plants and flowers.
I definitely did not inherit the "green thumb" gene in our family, but after walking around this Green House today I have an entirely new appreciation for all gardeners!
Roslyn helped me pick out our first "real" hanging baskets today for our porch.
PINK and PURPLE...would you guess any other color?

I love them. Now the goal is to keep them alive!

(Fake flowers are so much easier to keep alive!)
Watching Andray get off the bus today was bitter/sweet.
What an awesome school year, looking forward to the summer with the kids!

Andray's last journal entry and his "going away" gift from his teacher Mrs. Noss.

A year to remember...

Fun on the Farm...

Last weekend our family got to spend an entire day out on the farm.
The weather was perfect for picking "rock", fixing things on the farm and checking out the cattle!
Roslyn got to help Father Mark drive the tractor in his field!
Andray relaxing before the second round of "rock" picking!
Roz and Gma Sandy leading the crew out to the field for round #2!
No lie Andray walked 99.9% of the time.
I think we have a little boy who was "born to be a farmer!"
Andray eyed this big rock from a distance!
Took total team work from this trio to get this rock in the trailer!

Was a perfect day to play outside at the farm.

Great Gpa Andy's barn leans to the left and CC leans to the right!

Gma Sandy even brought us to the pasture to see some of their cows and two new baby cows that had just been born a couple days prior.

From a distance we could see the baby brown cow...

and the cutest little black baby cow with an all white face.
Looked like a mask on the little cow!

Eventually Gma Sandy was able to call most of the cattle over to our fence line.
Roslyn was intrigued by the electric fence!

Needless to say, we had some tired kids on the way home Saturday night!
We all slept good that night!
